Framed Extra Large Embroidered Coral Artwork
An opulent Embroidery inspired by an abstract view of a coral reef. Examining the intricacies of coral forms through hand stitch and beading techniques. The embroidery shows the beauty of coral reefs and highlights the importance of them within our environment. Hand embroidery using cotton thread, glass beads and sequins on purple crepe.
This artwork took over 30 hours of meticulous embroidery and is totally unique. The piece has been professionally framed with non-reflective glass which allows an unrestricted view of the artwork.
The embroidery is 20cm square, the frame is 34.5cm square with a depth of 7cm. The frame is white with the grain of the wood visible.
On the back of the artwork are details of the embroidery and it is signed and dated by the artist, imogen melissa.
